Just passing through…
Photography, Scrapbooking, Daily Life, My Lo's, CT LO's, Blogging, Hardware/Software, Tips, tricks and Settings, PS CS2, CT Pimpin' 7 Comments »to tell you that this is not the real update, lol. Gosh it’s been a while since last time and here are some of the reasons:
- Exams nearing. I am doing catch up in school.
- Water leakage in the house. All our stuff is scattered all over the place.
- 3 weeks of cleaning and redecorating (only to have the water leakage mess it up)
- Poor time management of course.
- A Gray and depressing phase. I am getting better now.
- My mojo came back thanks to the Catscrap celebration that I wanted to be part of. (Head over there: catscrap.com. Lots of sale and challenges going on!)
- Photography exploring.
- Family and relatives from his and my side. My family is here! His mom and dad is also here as well as sister and kids and husband from England.
- Kurdish weddings.
- Vacation, and we spent one of the week traveling to bro and sis in law on the western side of Norway.
- Finishing Shutterfly. It has been shipped.
- Bloglines and Evernote.
- Facebook.
- Shopping (it was sale season).
- Stressing about this and that.
- Absences, but last week I attended the class for a whole week. I am so proud! It seems I am recovering although my sleep is still sacrificed.
- Organized my digi stuff, but not enough. I am sooo behind!
- Read my digital photography book some more.
- Took some small jobs interpreting and helping out my uncle in his shop.
And what else has been going on:
- My tata Lando, my mom’s elder brother died.
- I am so enjoying my nephew.
- I want to join the Nordic light photography festival, but school is up.
- Still no practicum for the course.
- I am still yearning for a date with hubby with sushi and the movies.
- We watched Mr. Bean’s vacation on dvd and he cracked me up.
- Sad over all the natural catastrophes and other tragedies.
- Sad because I was indoors when the weather was so fine in some days.
- Evaluating my job situation.
- I finally got to wear make up in 2 occasions! I have been looking like a bum now with my don’t care appearance (well, it’s not that I don’t care, but depression has a role in it)
- I have still not gone to the lab and submitted by sample for the hormone test.
- Bought this new Norwegian scrap mag called “Vi scrapper”. Cool to see Syrin, Tyting and Sprellen’s LO there. I will try to submit for next issue.
- I had some scary automatic shutdowns of the computer. The report says driver error of a hardware. In the end it did an automatic system restore. I haven’t had error lately, but I still wish I knew what caused it.
- Another technical annoyance; media files and ability to be read. Both my computer are struggling with some formats.
- I need spiritual food. I am hungry.
- Bought a hood for the 50 mm. Unlike the other hoods, it’s made out of rubber and can be retracted. Cool so that it won’t take extra space. I also bought a big 5 in 1 reflector for a very reasonable price. Other than that, I haven’t shopped any new photo equipment. My next target is Gary Fong Lightsphere flash diffuser. And the next lens would be either the Nikon 85 mm f 1.8 or the Tamron 28-75 f 2.8.
- Homemade food everyday thanks to my dad. He is such a blessing and kind soul!
- I downloaded the Windows live writer. Looks good, but i am still using Zoundry since there are still some aspects of Zoundry that makes it more convenient for me.
- We might head to Texas in December because of a wedding (Bizzi’s relatives). Too bad is Texas is far from the places I want to roam. California in the south western side. North eastern side; Boston (Glo is here!) and New York. and Miami on the south eastern part. Texas is dab smack in the middle!
Next post will be filled with the visuals of my past days. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with these:
:::My shutterfly book teaser:::
In shutterfly, there is a cool preview that can make you visualize your end product. I used 66 dollars for the whole book. That is because of freight and added 30 pages. The prize I won on QOTC was good for 20 pages.

Credits: products from Michelle Coleman, Linda GB, Amy Martin and Catrine. I used wendyzine’s shutterfly action to make the pages inside and the cover from the templates on Shutterfly’s website. I miscalculated the allowance for the spine and that’s why the bookplate and title was pushed to much to the center. I forgot to divide the allowance by two (since there is back and front).
I am so excited about the arrival of this!
:::Some great photography tips:::
I want to share a video with nice tips. Its title is travel photography tips but it has tips that can use for all aspects.

:::A tag:::
While checking the archives of Aggie’s blog, I read their love story. Nakakakilig
And further away, I realized I have been tagged. (Updated: Yen tagged me too, Thanks to both. I am flattered and happy to be included in the tag! and such warm description. Oh yes Yen, I totally believe we could be real life friends!) I am lousy at tags, but this is a fun one. Now I love so many bloggers, but I am going to stick to those I know drop by here so they can catch the tag. Although most, if not all of these has already been tagged in this. So the tag is to name 5 of my top bloggers.

The awards goes to:
-
Aggie. I love how organized her thoughts are. She has a way of composing an entry far opposite of a rumbled one like mine. I tend to get excited over all the stuff I want to tell, that I end up with typos, grammar and messy phrases, sentences and paragraphs. She, on the other hand, has such organized way of telling tales, and not to leave out the meaningfulness and maturity level in which she writes her messages and of course humor in between. This girl, through her blog, moved me to digiscrap! She is so passionate about blogging. I even went to her older blogs (livejournal and an even older one before that) and read her archives there. That’s how captivating she is as a blogger.
-
Wanda. She makes long posts like me, hehe. No but seriously, I love to see her photos and her reviews and her tales. It matches her sweet personality. I know because I met her, hehe. And she is very lovable. Recently, she featured this cooking course she attend. I am sooo jealous.
-
Yen. Her LO’s that she always post on her blog are eyecandy and you can tell her kind nature reading her posts, and not only that, but reading her comment section. This girl is popular for a reason. She is so sweet!
-
Marj. She makes me laugh. Period. Actually, let’s go a bit further. She is opinionated, witty and I love to read about how she experience life, like with her husband before and after they wed. About her work, her pregnancy, their business and their dog.
- Glo, Liv. Mec, Data and Che. Che has wonderful photos. You have to see her photoblog too. Glo’s projects rocks. You should see her workspace she posted a while ago. From wedding, DIY’S to interior, she got it covered. Liv is F-U-N-N-Y. She has this sarcasm and humor that will leave you laughing in her ending remarks. And I love the way she tells her life lessons with that sweet twist of humor. She even dived to digiscrap now. Yoohoo. Mec is smart and witty and helpful and frank! She made me weep on her posting of her nephew Pyro’s in a journal she dedicated to him. Data; You can see the intellect and strength and classiness of this girl through her blog.
I said top 5, but I couldn’t help myself. Other girl blogger that rocks my world are Lori (dessercomesfirst), Jessica Claire, Spacemai and Gina Miller. But they have gotten so many awards already and I don’t think they will drop by here, hehe.
:::Latest LO’s:::
Last, be leaving you with some of my latest works. 90 % new stuff from Catscrap. I still need to use 3 packs (Tough LOve by Mossa, Ida’s painted doodles and Little Birdie by Syrin) and then I used them all.

I haven’t updated the credits from Coming soon to available now. Hurry, and get them while they are on sale. It’s a week long affair to celebrate their first year anniversary.
