Memorial Day Shopping and Great Blogtip
Uncategorized No Comments »Hi y’all. I’m here again, and yes I feel so guilty from the long interval of blogging. But worry not, I always list things as it happens or as I think of something.
So what excactly is up in my part of the world. Nothing much actually. The usual actually. erratic sleeps, long hours at the computer, bloghopping…speaking of bloghopping, I have a wonderful tip. A free service called bloglines has come to my attention. It’s a genious invention. For me who has so many links I stalk, what it does is tell me when someone makes a new entry so I don’t need to go through each one and return disappointed. It saves lots of time! What I did is first put a link to the favorites that says sub with bloglines (I got this from bloglines’ pages). When I open up a blog in a browser and want to subscribe to it, I just click on that in my favorites. Then ofcourse when you first subscribe, many entries will be listed as new, so I just click on the subscribed blog so that it resets to 0. Then I installed a tool that will run on my sytem tray. It checks at your given interval for new entries and with a sound will notify if a new entry has been made among your subscription. You can customize the sound alert, and I used a wav sound from the sound effects folder of pinnacle studio 9 video editing software. So now a door bell sound will ring for every time there is an update. Check it out at bloglines.com. I haven’t yet explored all the possibilities. You can also folder the different blog categories. My next up will be the wawies link.
And when we are on the topic of wawies, I saw Data posting her supplier rating. This girl is so classy and intellectual and socially aware. They are a cool couple and really goofy. Check out her pictures here from Rene Gaviola (Hope you don’t mind Data!). I love her priority on flower and how she wanted them to look like freshly picked from a meadow. Love it!:
My bloglines just doorbelled for the first time. Tia Bennett’s blog just got a new entry. I am loving this blogline already.
I slept 11 am yesterday hungry, so after waking 10 pm my legs were so weak and shaking from the hunger. Easy eggs to the rescue. I needed something quick. I just made an omelette with mozarella cheese and mushroom, and paired with the rice and ketchup it was delicious for hungry me. I ate fast, and I think my tummy got a shock. I was waiting for the food to function so that I won’t be a veggie anymore. I drank a biola (good for the tummy drink) for safety. The water did wonder as well. I wanted something sweet actually for energy, but i think the rice already has that. In my hunger, I couldn’t help but think of those who are in even worst condition. The hungry people that experience this daily, around the clock. And here I am complaining.
The washing machine is driving me bananas. As I said before, it doesn’t dry as well now. But the other day, I put on some laundry at around 4 pm. At 1 am it was still doing its thing. I didn’t discover it before that time. it slipped my mind. It also smelled a little burnt rubber, and I had to do something to force it to stop. Otherwise the door wouldn’t open. I definitely need to get it serviced. We are still paying credit for that thing, and it’s already bailing on us.
Sunday, everyone was home. My baby finally said to me that we should rent a movie so that we all could be together and I would leave the computer. So he also forced me to go out to pick the movie. We went the 3 of us to find a movie. We were acting very silly, and my sister was alughing at the goofy couple walking with her (that would be us). We got Rumor has it and Seven Swords. Rumor has it is a movie with Jennifer Aniston. Our other choice was Just like Heaven. I just love the hair of that girl. If hair was the only thing guys drool over in a girl, Jennifer wouldn’t have been replaced with Angelina.
I won in a contest by the way at the digital scrapbooking world. It was nothing creative really. Just posting as much as you can. I posted 879 entries. That’s wild. Even I am in shock. So that started another wave of shopping. I got a 20 dollar GC at Digichick that was consumed in an instant. More tales of that in my other scrappy blog. Memorial day also was the cause of a lot of sale and the emptying of my pockets.
I am really fed up of some bugs lately. My Internet Exploreer have been freaking out a bit with weird fonts on some pages. And then blogger has difficulty publishing. It is stuck on 0%, and then Flickr also had a bug. I have Opera Explorer and even Netscape as back up, but when you have been accutomed to one thing, it’s hard to transfer.
Are you guys fed up of the song here. Weng said she loves the playlist, but I am considering making a new one, so you won’t get bored with the same song selection all the time. And of songs…I listened to an old cd of mine. Do you remember the duo of the Murmurs. the one who sang the enraged song; you suck. Their voice harmony and the strumming of their guitar is so relaxing. The other tracks from their cd is really not like you suck. They are more peaceful and friendlier. I think I need to make LO’s with inspiring music. Maybe that will help it improve.
I am saddened by the events in Indonesia. I cry when I see the poor people. We helped out a little on tsunami, and i think we should contribute a little for this tragedy too. The news is sometims hard to digest. Like this father who threw his 2 sons from the balcony and himself after. A succesful doctor who have had marital problems in 6 months, but was in that hotel to celebrate their wedding anniversary. I can’t even start to imagine the agony of the mother.
Let’s go to something not so somber. Just please include all our unfortunate fellowman in your prayers, and be grateful evryday for what we have. Someone said
Thanks for the tip Litzie, I forgot that I heard also in a cooking show that lemon is also an effective tool to remove garlic and onion smell. We were out of lemons that day. Maybe the principle is something sour.
Ok, so over to this comment from Yen. That hubby looks like this guy. Wat do you think? I am thinking it’s better tah the Sean Penn resemblance he keeps hearing. He aslo gets the look like Jesus a lot when we are in the Philippines. Bu t I do see some of his nose in this guy:
Poor baby, his back aches and his legs. I rubbed on some of those pain relieving cream. He played football yesterday and went to work after that. He scored a goal though. Yipee.
Checked the tracking of my netshop order of RAM and memory card reader. It has arrived in the post office. I am sure the notice will come in my mail today. Yahoo. I wonder if there is a need for antistatic gloves when baby opens the cabinet to insert it. Hope everything goes weel. When we had the HP cheap computer before, we opened it up and put a part inside, and it got ruined. But the cabinet is too compact and crowded that it was easy to bump into other stuff. I am sure now that we have a huge cabinet that won’t happen. That’s why I don’t like the shuttle computers. They are too small. Will fill you in later if there is a significant boost to performance. Gotta go now. And do get a blogline, I tell you it’s wonderful. And ofcourse subscribe here
